Avaleo has developed a software application for teams to use who are managing patients with long-term conditions.
An increasing amount of diseases are not possible to cure instantly and some diseases are permanent. The modern healthcare industry is expected to cope with patients' demands, as well as professionals' demands, for immediate insight and status.
Avaleo's software product has been developed iteratively in partnership with pioneering healthcare organizations that are running shared care, disease management, and rehabilitation programs.
The core product is a software platform that enables large groups of members to interact about team work, scheduling, data collection, patient reviews, Tailored pathways, and patient access.
Avaleo is using Web 2.0 (AJAX and Java), Open source (Wicket, Spring, and Hibernate), and service oriented architecture (SOA).
Avaleo has, over the last 3 years, cooperated with more than 100 key healthcare websites. From large commercial information portals, with more than 5 million visits per month, to public sector organizations and pharmaceutical companies, conveying highly specific messages about particular conditions.
The team behind Avaleo consists of doctors, nurses, management consultants, and technology specialists, most of whom had leading roles at NetDoktor, Europe's largest consumer health website.
