Technology
Chempaq has developed the world's first true point-of-care hematology analyzer. The solution is designed for primary care physicians who need access to decentralized blood test results within a few minutes. The solution is comprised of a single-use cartridge (PAQ) and a portable analyzer for processing and reading the PAQ. The PAQ is self-contained and includes all the required reagents for test results.
Value Proposition
The Chempaq solution removes the need for sending samples to an outside laboratory for testing. It ensures that patients can receive rapid diagnosis and treatment, as doctors are now able to prescribe proper treatment regiments within minutes, and that more tests are able to be performed with faster results. Additionally the Chempaq solution is extremely simple to operate and provides concise, rapid and detailed results.
Because of its ease of use and portability the solution is used in remote areas such as Greenland, and has been beneficiary in the relief aid after the Haiti Earthquake in 2009.
Chempaq launched their solution in 2005 and obtained the 510(k) clearances the same year. In 2006, Chempaq began targeting the US market, with a market potential of 100 million tests annually and in 2009 they signed a license agreement with Phillips. The solution has also been launched for the veterinary market.
