Jurag has developed the REED (Reverse Electro-Enhanced Dialysis) technology that enables separation of charged molecules. As a result, it is possible to selectively clean-out amino acids, enzymes, antibiotics, etc. without using extraction agents and, if coupled directly with fermentation, the clean-up process will also work as a pH-governor.

The REED technology can significantly improve the productivity of a fermentation processes. By separating out fermentation waste bi-products and continuously adding feed, results show a significant enhancement of productivities in lactic acids, starter cultures, and bio-pharma. The solution is developed for use in pharmaceutical, biotech, and food ingredient industries.
