Trustpilot aims to be the world’s leading online customer service quality assurance brand. Trustpilot is a web portal that rank companies based on their customer service. This service facilitates the trust building process between vendor and consumer which creates a more comfortable environment for consumers to shop in – and enables customer service oriented vendors to increase sales. Trustworthy and effective vendors can market themselves through Trustpilot icons on own homepages with a positive ranking from a Trustpilot domain.
Rankings of trustworthy companies is gathered through information from governmental sources, consumer organizations, media coverage and all ratings and customer reviews on shopping portals, price comparison sites, blog discussions etc.
In Q4 2008 Trustpilot scanned the web and found 1,000,000+ ratings to create a customer service profile of 18,000+ companies.
TrustPilot currently operates in DK and UK. They plan to expand into several new countries in 2009.
