Strong profile for SEED Capitals Partner Group
(25.3.2010) Jakob Fuglede Nielsen (43 years) has been invited into SEED Capital Denmark's partner group, who will be able to continue to profit from his economic expertise. Together with the four existing partners, he will highten SEED Capitals already high credibility.
Jakob is educated cand.oecon. from Aarhus University and has years of financial experience - among others as Finance Manager in several of the Danish energycompany DONG Energy's divisions. Jakob has since 2006 bin CFO for SEED Capital Denmark.
SEED Capital was founded in 2004 and is the largest venture fund in Denmark within the pre-seed and seed segment. SEED Capital manages both private venture capital and public funds through DTU Symbion Innovation. The public funds provides SEED Capital witht the opportunity to invest in start-ups in the very early stages, and the private funds can then be invested in the most successful companies in subsequent investment rounds. SEED manages around. 1.5 billion DKK and has today roughly 70 companies in its portfolio.
In February 2010 SEED Capital succeeded in raising the fund SEED Capital Denmark II K / S with 435 million DKK in capital from among others ATP and Vækstfonden.

SEED Capital has also pr. 1. March hired Mikkel Toft-Olsen (30 years) as Communications Manager. Mikkel is educated cand.comm and has in recent years worked with communications and business development in the softwarecompany Novitell.
